FIRST-LOOK PREVIEW OF BATMAN PROJECT

About a month ago, I began enlisting the aid of people from around the world to help bring one of the most epic Batman tales to life.

I've scoured the message boards of DC Comics, Comic Book Resources, and Bad Cartridge to find the best voices available for this project. Now, call me biased, but the voices I've received have been truly excellent and I cannot wait until this project is finished and available for viewing. For now, however, I thought I would put up a preview scene so that everyone involved knows that this project is moving right along.

Be warned, there are spoilers in this scene if you have never read the story. If you don't want to know about a major plot point, then you'd better leave now.

Still here? Okay...

This is a "preview" in every sense of the word...this is NOT the finished scene. It still needs a lot of work, but I just wanted to post it and get some feedback. Do you think we're on the right track? Am I WAYYYY off on this? Sound off in the comments section, or shoot me an email: batmanproject@yahoo.com

Again, this is only a preview so please be kind...I'll be posting more soon about the project in general, as well as discussing the different voices and voice artists.

Thanks for viewing, and I hope you enjoy this "very early" preview of this as-yet untitled project!

I'd also like to remind everyone that this is a not-for-profit "fan project", and is in no way endorsed by DC Comics. This is "just for fun" and will not be available for sale.

  1. Wow! The soundtrack is amazing! The voices sound very good. The sound effects are mostly spot on... the first one of the gun clicking didn't sound large enough to my ears. But that is probably my only complaint. It would be really nice if you could somehow gain access to DC's high res files without the lettering layer. Kudos though! Can't wait to hear the rest!

  2. Thanks for the comment! I wish I had access to DC's files too...that would make my job much easier! But, I do the best with what I have.

As for the sound, it's much better on the original file (including the sound of the gun cocking). I also went for a combo of sounds to make the cocking noise, as a regular recording wouldn't fit a sci-fi gun (imo anyway).

For a short preview (and unfinished, at that) I'm happy with it so far.

  3. Great preview! I agree that the soundtrack is outstanding, as is the voice work. I can't wait to see more of it.
